PORTARIS™ Website & Advisory Disclaimer
Effective Date: September 2, 2026
The PORTARIS website provides general information about Portaris Partners LLC, doing business as PORTARIS (“Portaris,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), our approach, our Partnerships, and topics related to Human Resources, business, organizations, leadership, careers, and professional growth.
This Disclaimer explains important limitations regarding information available through the PORTARIS website and distinguishes general website information from support provided through a formal Portaris Partnership.
1. General Website Information
Information available through the PORTARIS website is provided for general informational and educational purposes.
Website information may provide perspective, ideas, considerations, tools, or practical guidance, but it cannot account for every individual's or organization's particular facts, circumstances, needs, location, workforce, industry, or other considerations.
Human Resources, employment, business, and organizational matters are often fact-specific. Laws, regulations, workplace requirements, and accepted practices may also vary by jurisdiction and change over time.
General website information should therefore not be relied upon as a determination of what a particular individual or organization should do in a specific situation.
2. Website Information Is Different From a Portaris Partnership
Visiting the PORTARIS website, reviewing or downloading PORTARIS materials, contacting Portaris, or scheduling or participating in an initial conversation does not by itself create a Portaris Partnership or a client, advisory, fiduciary, contractual, employment, or other professional relationship.
A formal Portaris Partnership begins only when Portaris and the applicable individual or organization enter into a separate written agreement.
Once a Portaris Partnership has been established, Portaris may provide individualized support based on the agreed scope of the Partnership. Depending on that scope, Portaris may advise, recommend, develop, support, participate in, or help execute Human Resources, organizational, leadership, career, or other agreed work.
The nature, scope, responsibilities, and terms of that work are governed by the applicable Portaris Partnership Proposal & Agreement or other written agreement.
3. Human Resources Recommendations and Legal Advice
Portaris provides Human Resources and business consulting and advisory support. This may include recommendations, perspective, guidance, tools, process support, and practical assistance concerning workplace practices, policies, employee relations, compliance considerations, and other employment-related matters.
Portaris is not a law firm, does not practice law, and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation.
Human Resources recommendations provided by Portaris reflect an HR and business perspective. They should not be interpreted as a legal opinion or as a determination of an individual's or organization's legal rights, obligations, or compliance with applicable law.
Employment laws and regulations may vary by jurisdiction, depend upon particular facts and circumstances, and change over time. When a matter requires interpretation of law, assessment of legal rights or obligations, a legal opinion, or legal representation, the individual or organization should consult appropriately qualified legal counsel.
Portaris may recommend consultation with legal counsel when circumstances warrant. A recommendation to consult legal counsel does not prevent Portaris from continuing to provide Human Resources support within the agreed scope of a Portaris Partnership.
Nothing available through the PORTARIS website or provided by Portaris creates an attorney-client relationship.
4. Employer Responsibility and Decision Making
When Portaris provides Human Resources support to an organization, the organization remains the employer of its employees. A Portaris Partnership does not transfer the organization's responsibilities as an employer to Portaris.
Depending on the agreed scope of a Partnership, Portaris may advise, recommend, develop, support, participate in, or help execute Human Resources activities and decisions. This may include substantial or embedded Human Resources support where agreed as part of a Portaris Partnership.
The organization retains ultimate responsibility for its employees, employment practices, legal obligations, and business decisions, except to the extent particular responsibilities or authority are expressly defined in the applicable written Partnership Agreement.
The specific role and responsibilities of Portaris in any engagement are determined by the applicable Partnership Agreement and should not be inferred solely from information presented on the website.
5. Compliance-Related HR Support
Portaris may provide Human Resources support concerning workplace practices, policies, procedures, documentation, employee relations, compliance considerations, and other employment-related matters.
Such support does not constitute a legal determination that an organization has satisfied all federal, state, local, or other applicable legal requirements.
Organizations remain responsible for understanding and satisfying their legal obligations and should consult qualified legal counsel when legal interpretation or advice is appropriate.
6. Information Provided to Portaris
The quality and appropriateness of Portaris recommendations and support may depend upon the information and circumstances communicated to us.
Portaris may rely upon information provided by an organization, its representatives, an individual, or other authorized sources when providing recommendations or support.
Incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or omitted information may affect the relevance or appropriateness of recommendations or other support provided by Portaris. Individuals and organizations should communicate material facts and changes that may reasonably affect the work being performed.
7. Tools, Templates, and Complimentary Resources
Portaris may provide complimentary tools, checklists, templates, guides, prompts, examples, and other resources through the website.
These resources are provided for general informational and educational purposes and are not customized for a particular individual, organization, workforce, jurisdiction, or circumstance unless expressly stated otherwise.
Individuals and organizations should evaluate whether a resource is appropriate for their particular needs before using or implementing it.
Where a tool, template, or resource involves legal or regulatory considerations, it should not be treated as legal advice or as a substitute for review by qualified legal counsel when such review is appropriate.
Use of a PORTARIS resource does not by itself create a Portaris Partnership or other professional relationship.
8. Other Professional Advice
This support does not constitute accounting, tax, investment, or other regulated financial advice. Individuals and organizations should consult appropriately qualified professionals when their circumstances require advice in those areas.
PORTARIS may provide business and Human Resources guidance that includes budgeting, workforce costs, compensation considerations, headcount planning, hiring decisions, and other financial considerations related to an organization's workforce or operations.
9. Information Changes and Accuracy
Portaris makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and current information. However, laws, regulations, business practices, workplace requirements, technology, and other circumstances may change.
Portaris does not guarantee that general website information is complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for every individual, organization, jurisdiction, or circumstance.
Website content may be updated, revised, or removed as circumstances change.
10. Decisions, Implementation, and Outcomes
Individuals and organizations are responsible for evaluating general information obtained through the PORTARIS website before relying upon or implementing it.
Where a formal Portaris Partnership exists, responsibilities relating to recommendations, decisions, implementation, execution, and other work are determined by the applicable written Partnership Agreement.
Portaris does not guarantee any particular business, Human Resources, employment, compliance, organizational, leadership, career, financial, or other result.
Outcomes may depend upon numerous factors, including the circumstances involved, information provided to Portaris, decisions and actions of the organization or individual, implementation, participation of other parties, changes in law or regulation, and other matters outside Portaris's control.
11. Relationship to Other PORTARIS Legal Documents
This Website & Advisory Disclaimer should be read together with the PORTARIS Terms of Use and PORTARIS Privacy Policy.
The Terms of Use govern use of the PORTARIS website. The Privacy Policy explains how Portaris collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information.
A formal Portaris Partnership or other paid engagement is governed by the applicable Portaris Partnership Proposal & Agreement or other written agreement.
